The impact Digitalisation had on visuals and how information is presented leading to a new concept of reality.
This project is an attempt of demonstrating the concept of (hyper)reality in the digital age through a series of videos.
I tried to capture how from the representation of the real and its referential images it is possible to move into a world where the representation of reality is replaced by a dimension in which the signs of reality acquire a new meaning.
The videos are divided in three parts to recall the Christian’s holy iconography (a vernacular trinity) and to define a structure which puts in relation past, present and future.
The first video reflects on the concept of reality, sometime in contrast sometime in line with its virtual representation.
The second is about connections, networks and big data seen as the registration of our action, researches and wishes.
The third is a tribute to the artists I met during the process of preparing my dissertation. It ends with a server-room, seen as a reliquary of information.
